The Denver Bandwagon: Why You Should Consider Relocating

June 17, 2015 By Mark Hunke

In the last decade or so, very few cities in America have experienced population growth at the same rate as Denver, Colorado. In fact, experts cited it as the 10th fastest growing metropolitan area in the United States in 2008, and in the following year, it was America’s most popular place to live. Once you discover all that Denver has to offer in terms of activities and sprawling luxury homes, you may want to jump on the bandwagon yourself.

Beautiful Weather

When many people think of relocating, weather plays a significant role. In fact, people seem to move to Florida every year in hopes of enjoying a milder climate. Denver has four seasons, just as many other parts of the United States, but each of those seasons is mild. Weather experts indicate there are 300 days of mild sunshine every single year. Thus, unlike Florida with its hot, humid summers, Denver’s summers are milder and more comfortable. There is an occasional storm or even blizzard, but these are rare. Overall, Denver offers beautiful scenery and a comfortable climate fit for everyone, regardless of age or medical conditions. If you are moving from a place with subzero winters or incredibly hot and humid summers, you will immediately realize the difference.

Outstanding Real Estate Market

Many things have led to Denver’s outstanding real estate market in recent years, and right now is the perfect time to find a luxury home. Whereas the housing market is stagnant in some parts of the United States, business is booming in Denver – and for several good reasons. The weather and climate is just one of those. Other reasons to move to Denver include the outstanding job market, fueled partially by the reliable tourism industry, and there are plenty of outstanding schools and churches in most neighborhoods. The crime rate is incredibly low, and the people are generally friendly all around. This leads to a happy environment and a strong real estate market.

Plenty to See and Do

Aside from the pretty weather and the phenomenal housing market, Denver is a great place to live due to the number of activities that are nearby. There are incredible amusement parks here, suitable for the entire family, and, of course, you cannot overlook the amazing skiing. In fact, people come from all over the country to enjoy Denver’s slopes. Some of the country’s most popular sports teams originate here, and there are zoos, museums, and shopping centers galore. There is even a citywide bike service that helps you get from point A to point B – and get some exercise all at the same time. Of course, the 40-mile Cherry Creek bike path is a great way to pass the day, all while seeing some beautiful sights.

The Denver bandwagon is at full speed, and it does not show any sign of slowing down. The large, picturesque city offers plenty to see and do, regardless of your hobbies and interests. The weather is beautiful, and the housing market is perfect for those who are interested in buying estate homes in Denver.
